Mushotou Bell Tower on Kirigamine Highland (one of 100 landscapes where Mt. Fuji is viewable in the Kanto Region)
It's a symbolic monument on misty Kirigamine Highland. Standing within Geroppara Mountains, Kowashimizu Marsh, and Wasurejinooka Hill, this arch-shaped Bell Tower peals out on misty days, indicating its location and guiding hikers. It's also a mark for hiking and trekking on clear days. With the height of 1,684 meters, it was built in 1959. The poem "Bell speaks up/ Mist mist mist/ Bell speaks up/ Survival survival survival" written by Taiko Hirabayashi, a novelist from Suwa City, was engraved on it.
