Ueda joshi (former cite for a castle) park

Ueda castle is a flat castle built by Masayuki Sanada in 1583 (Tensyo 11), approximately located in the center of Ueda basin. Surrounded by moats and mud walls, it is a simple castle using stone walls of tiger entrance (entrance) but defeated the large army of Tokugawa's in 1st / 2nd Ueda campaigns, to have been reputed nationwide. There are no other castles with 2 such track records with a brilliant victory all over the country. But this castle was dismantled after Sekigahara campaign, with Mr. Nobuyuki Sanada, the land owner was transferred to Matsuyo, too. Then Mr. Sengoku moved over from Komoro re-built the castle, with it becoming the castle for Mr. Matsudaira in the late contemporary age.
