Located at 1,550 meters, Odoriba Marsh, commonly called Ikenokurumi, is one of the three marshes on Kirigamine Highland (national natural heritage), together with Mt. Kurumayama and Yashimagahara Marsh. There is a footpath which takes about 70 minutes for one circle. You can enjoy views greenland, marsh, pond, river, hill iin such a short distance as well as different landscapes in different seasons. You can also see a plant named Yachibouzu floating in Ashikuranoike Pond in central Marsh, and birds living on insects or frogs. The Marsh is of high value because it consists of two kinds of marshes, with a 2.5-meter-thick peat layer going through 3000 years. One is lower oligotrophic marsh near the pond, breeding bulrush and carex. The other is higher eutrophic marsh to the west of the pond, breeding sphagnum.
