Kurumayama has been introduced as Kirigamine in "one of the best 100 mountains in Japan" (writenn by late Mr. Hisasya Hukada), with approaching it rather easy despite its height, enabling you to relax and enjoy hundreds of kinds of grasses and flowers and grand views. Recently, the nature-orientation centered around middle-aged people is becoming a hushed boom, with a lot of people coming over to the area, too. "Kurumayama guide club" has Kurumayama / Kirigamine and Mt. Kitayatugatake areas as its main scope of activities, with guiding climibing courses at its center, also providing guiding activities on grasses, flowers and surrounding views, to convey the greatness of the area to visiting people not listed on guidebooks; and to appeal the importance of nature protection through such activities. Members have obtained the official guide qualifiacation in Nagano-ken, and nature protection ranger qualification in Nagano-ken, operating as reliable guides in the area.
